The certification body of the Republican Scientific-Practical Center of Hygiene State Institution of the Ministry
of Health of the Republic of Belarus was established in 1996. It is accredited as the body for the certification of foodstuffs, perfumes and cosmetics in the National System of
Accreditation of the Republic of Belarus (accreditation certificate No. BY/112 01.1.0.0080). The list of foodstuffs, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, tobacco goods, perfumes
and cosmetics, household items to be certified is given in the scope of accreditation of the certification body.
To render services on the certification of national and foreign products the certification body possesses:
- Documented quality system;
- Skilled and specially trained personnel;
- Actual fund of technical regulations and information materials.
Specialists of the certification body have certificates of expert knowledge of auditing experts and are entered into the Register of Auditing Experts of the National System of Conformity Confirmation of the Republic of Belarus.
The principles of confidentiality of information received from the applicant for the certification are adhered to when carrying out certification activities. The organizational structure of the certification body
ensures neutrality, impersonality and responsiveness when carrying out certification activities. There is a complex system of interaction of the certification department and testing laboratories
within the Republican Scientific-Practical Center of Hygiene.
The scope of accreditation of the certification body as per types of products is similar to the accreditation scope of the center’s testing department which allows arranging the work on the one-stop-shop principle. The certification
body deals with other organizations in relation to the issues of certification.
